Sushi Cuisine
Nigiri Sushi, Sashimi and Maki
Sushi at
Blossoms Restaurant ArubaHave you ever wondered what is really meant by sushi? Many people use the word loosely to refer to any number of types of
Japanese cuisine that should be more finely distinguished from each other. In general, sushi refers to the
Japanese style of preparing vinegared rice that is then combined with a vast array of different ingredients, but primarily seafood (often raw) and vegetables (
Sushi and Sashimi).
Sashimi, on the other hand, is a similar
Japanese dish of thinly sliced raw fish or other meat that can be paired with an optional serving of rice, but not combined.
At Blossoms restaurant Aruba, we present 20 different Nigiri-style sushi selections, where the rice is pressed into an oblong mound and topped with the distinguishing meat or seafood. Each of those can also be prepared as sashimi. We also offer 20 different kinds of Maki rolls. Maki is yet another style of sushi where strips of fish and vegetables are laid on sushi rice and then rolled up into a cylinder wrapped most often in nori or seaweed. The roll is then sliced into 8 pieces for serving. When looking for a great local Sushi Restaurant in Aruba, don’t look any further and visit us at Blossoms Restaurant
